Cofactor-mediated conformational control in the bifunctional kinase/RNase Ire1
I know it looks complicated to look at. With all that science terminologies and stuff. But dont get confused. I will explain this to you using words that are easier to understand and can be read. When you have finished reading this article, you'll become one of the enlighted ones...just joking. What I mean is you'll have additional knowledge about what's going on "DEXTER's LAB" and that you can exploit it for your own benefit.
BACKGROUND
To start with I'll explain a little knowledge about the CELL... why cell? because our topic for today is about it. Now, the cell is the basic living unit of life. Which means, its the little version of you. Like a spocket of a watch. When a part of the cells is destroyed it is quickly replaced by new ones Through the use of PROTIENS AND SIGNALING. These protiens assist in building new parts of the cell.
The central dogma of life states that: "DNA expresses its thoughts through PROTIEN" - from transcription to translation a new Protein is formed to suit the needs of the cell. When protien is already formed, RNA is then degraded and returned to its raw materials into the cytoplasm.
STUDY
Now in relation to our article, the study concentrated in the ASSISTANCE of Co-Factors in the perfomance of RNase Ire1 (A signal transduction protein in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane that serves to adjust the protein-folding capacity of the ER according to the needs of the cell) inside the Endopalsmic Reticulum.
CONCLUSION
Their conclusion was stated simply as: co-factors aided in the activation of RNase activity of Ire1 other than signal transduction.
HOW WILL THIS AFFECT YOU?
The answer is simple. EVERY SECOND OF YOUR LIFE DEPEND ON THIS PROCESSES. So take time to appreciate them because its one of the reasons why you are still alive. Whenever this cellular processes are normal, that means your not sick. But when they are not normal, this means you will be sick and will be spending lots of money and resources just to keep you alive. So BE THANKFUL.
